I've been to this place three times, and every time the service has been AWFUL and the food has been mediocre. My last visit on Tuesday finally caused me to write this scathing review. The place was pretty busy, not slammed, but most of the tables were full. I sat down with my friends who were already there watching the Heat game. I ordered the boneless wings with 2 sauces and bleu cheese with 2 minutes to go in the first half. Halftime goes by, no food. I find our server after looking for him for 10 minutes, and have him come over. He tells me he forgot to hit enter on the POS system but he resubmitted it and I should get it soon. 15 minutes later they bring my food to the table next to us, and they all pass around the dish before ultimately giving it to the server who then brought it to me. I was starving so I didn't really care. Then I bit into the food, and it was awful. There was no breading (which it says there was), there was only 1 sauce (not 2), and no blue cheese. The chicken chunks were gross, dry, and stringy. I took half a bite and spit it out. I called the server over, told him there was no breading, wrong flavors and no bleu cheese. He then told me that's how they bread them, lightly, and thats how they normally come. I conferred with the others at the table, there was no breading. He didn't address the wrong sauces or bleu cheese either. I told him to take the plate away and then he asked if I wanted anything else. I asked him if I would have to pay for it, considering they messed up twice (4 times if u include all errors) and he told me that yes I would because they were going to comp the boneless wings but they can't now. At this point I probably shoulda talked to manager but I just wanted to watch the game and was no longer hungry. I try to give servers the benefit of the doubt, since I was one myself, but this was the WORST service I've ever had anywhere, which sadly isn't much worse than the usual service at Duffys. I also ended up paying for my beer and receiving no make good. Previously I've had burgers there (overcooked, not juicy, and bland), and the mahi sandwich which was nothing special but at least they knew how to steam the veggies with it. However, I will give them credit for two things, lots of TVs with games on, and great Heinz Ketchup, I would come back to try the other 56 flavors.

This might be the best sports bar I have ever been to. Correction; it defiantly was the best sports bar I have ever been to. To start off with, the atmosphere for NFL football was amazing. The walls were filled with HD TVs; all broadcasting different games. You do not even have to be watching your team, and you will have just as much fun. I was watching the Raiders game, and I found myself just as excited to watch it as I did a Steelers game. My family and I found ourselves watching the entire 2nd half of the Patriots game just because there was so much excitement in the bar. The sound system they had made it actually feel like you were at the game, and the massive amounts of people also helped. The food was pretty awesome too. The wings... woooowwww. The sauces... woooowww again. Get the Honey Garlic; you defiantly will not be disappointed. I promise you that you will want to order more, so just order 5 more than what you would. Also, the guacamole and chips were excellent. The waitress told us that the guac was a new item on the menu, but it tasted as if it had been mastering the making of guacamole for decades. Yeah, it was that good: fresh, creamy, and allll goonneee within a few minutes. Did I mention that the happy hour at this place is all day long? Thats right, two for one all day. If you wanna hang out, eat some food, and watch the game, this is the place to do it.

The food is pretty good, the location excellent but the service is bad. They can't seem to remember what you ordered. Staff needs some extensive training.

South Florida version of chili's with lots of t.v's

This is my favorite Duffy's location in Palm Beach County. Big windows to see Clematis, and plenty of TVs. Walking around downtown, it's hard to miss this place (but it seems to be a perfect fit). It's never totally packed, and there is a lot of space. Big booths, dozens of tables (inside and out), and a huge bar. Weekends even have washroom attendants.

Good atmosphere, decent service. Chicken nachos were good but the chicken pita was ehh. I'd skip it next time. Enough tv's to make you get ADD if you don't already have it.

Fun sports bar with good if mostly standard sports bar food and a good beer selection. Not a bad seat in the house with a zillion TVs around the perimeter and down the aisles, and they do a nice job of featuring all the main events. We went to watch the Steelers and had a great time, but UFC and college basketball games were on as well if that was your interest.

I had a bad experience here with something I ordered, that being said as soon as Simone noticed how upset I was they offered to help me.

Let's just start off with saying that I was more or less forced to eat here. I was with someone who doesn't have taste In food and isn't too adventurous with new places. Second, if you are on clematis drive and you decide to eat here, come on. I've heard that there are so many good restaurants and bars on clematis that you need to try. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try any. As for the review. Just another Duffys sports bar, nothing special. Come here if you wants some wings and cheap drinks. They always have two for one drinks, which may be the only good thing about this place. I had fish and chips with sweet potatoes fries and regular fries. Burger was overcooked (ordered medium rare), fires were fries but they were cold. Again, nothing special and check out some of the other nearby places.

Cheap food on Clematis St with a quality bit over average compared to usual pub grub. Great beer selection and good drinks and always 2 for 1! More than enough of TV screens to watch your favorite game and usually big sports special events are shown here.

This is a great location, right on Clematis. We arrived around 2 p.m. and sat outside as it was a beautiful day. We ordered a few beers and appetizers, which the beer was cold an appetizers were good, for bar food. The server was good, never let our drink run out. I will tell you if you want a great show, be sitting sitting outside around 3 pm when Wine Dive lets out. People are so wasted that they are falling like crazy. We also had people come in and try to fight Duffy's staff because Duffy's refused to provide them service due to their drunken state (yay for Duffy's). We were able to watch the same thing go on across the street at Rocco's tacos.

Ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, not serve as requested. I requested to have it all chopped up, and had to send it back, not once, but twice. I asked for extra Caesar dressing, had to request that twice as well to finally get some extra Caesar salad dressing. Waiting almost a half hour to get them to change the channel so I can watch the Australian open. Sitting at the bar, and Matthew - the server - is not exactly what I would call customer friendly! This place really need to have their Management come in here and do some sort of a review.

Duffy's Sports Grill is exactly what the name says. Sports Grill... burgers, wings, brews and a few side things too. You'll find something on the menu for everyone. The place is packed with TV for various sports -- which I can only assume gets busy during big games. Came through for lunch. We were quick to be seated (as there was plenty of seating).

Great place to watch sports and enjoy good food and lively atmosphere. Really love Stephanie C at the bar. Always knows what I want to eat and drink.

Duffy's is Duffy's. Average food with good happy hour specials. Our waitress was above average and she was really attentive. She refilled our drinks and cleared away the dirty plates. The wings and buffalo chicken sandwich were average; however, they were on par with other Duffy's. They do have a lot of TV's although I wished they would have had more baseball games on than they did. They had on a repeat of the NBA game the night before which didn't make a lot of sense. But they did have a couple of baseball games on so it wasn't a complete loss. I prefer this location over the other one I went to in West Palm Beach.

We've tried Duffy's on Clematis a few more times and some of those were good experiences. But recently, not so good. Just too many mistakes! Wrong food. Various people coming over trying to deal with it giving various stories and solutions. Then, we were DOUBLE billed! Then, they forgot our Duffys points. Then they credited half our points. I had to email to get that fixed. Then, the biggest problem. We were given back an empty gift card when we had money left on ours. When I brought it up, I was asked to call corporate. Days went by and corporate said, "You used all the money on your gift card." Well, we know that SOME ONE used our money, but it wasn't us. My wife and I independently realized that we were ripped off. Anyway, we will never buy a gift card again! And we are much less like to visit Duffy's on Clematis. We have been fans of Duffy's West Indiantown Road for years and recently Duffy's Greenacres. But Duffy's Clematis is out of our rotation!

My review is based on my own -singular- experience at this place. Visiting a good friend who lives in Palm Beach.. needed to grab a bite to eat on a Monday night (kind of late).. couldn't decide on any particular type of food. Duffy's was suggested. Duffy's delivered. Why? The place was pretty much empty, our waitress was very attentive and accommodating.. all meals were capped at $11.99 (some Monday night special)... and the food was good. Nothing life-changing... but my Lobster Cobb Salad was more than merely "ok". Didn't hurt that it was only $11.99 and they happily allowed me to substitute goat cheese instead of Gorgonzola. I imagine -especially based off of other reviews- that the place gets very busy and loses it's quality of service.. but perhaps maybe you should know better to avoid it then..? Just my two cents. Advice: go if you're being indecisive and not during peak hours.

Always have an awesome expierence here!! I had Dennis as a server and he was great. I only ask for Dennis when I go in there, probably the best servers at this location. I'd recommend this Duffys over any other one in this area. Go in and ask for Dennis I'm sure he'll give you the same great customer service!!

Great sports bar. Tons of TVs. Clean, good food, perfect location right on Clematis and the best Bloody Mary's ever (the garnish is a slider!!!)

  • Ian G.

Duffy's provides a proper sports bar environment; a plethora of TV's, fun staff, and decent food. I more often get food to go from this location than dining-in, so I will focus my review on my experiences with takeout. In the dozen or so times I have gotten food to go, not once has an order been incorrect or missing a single detail. The hostess, Lissy, who handles the orders, is attentive, kind, professional, and doesn't miss a thing. Other servers/staff have taken my order and while everything was right, they forgot little things like extra napkins or silverware. Lissy makes sure every condiment, utensil, and necessary piece of the meal is there. Lissy more than anything or anyone deserve this five star review. Cudo's to cooks though! The food is consistently good.

Duffys is a fun place to hang out with some friends. It's at a great location on Clematis as well. You can hop around from place to place. It is a sports bar so remember, they're good at bar food, nothing else.. I made the mistake of ordering steak and shrimp with broccoli. .. the steak was super dry and tough... and the shrimp was not good. I barely touched my food. I did have a good time because I was with good friends so make sure you're with the right people and ordering the appropriate food for the location and you'll be satisfied.

Great low prices on beer, but food prices aren't as great. Decent tho. Decent dishes for comfort food. Great atmosphere for sports and good service.

This review is not about the food but about customer service. Went to Duffy's for lunch and my bill came to $48.07 and I left a $10 tip Total bill $58.07. When I checked my debit card purchases, I was billed $60.07. Now I know it was only a $2 difference but if they did this to every customer it comes to a tidy sum. Called the manager and texted him a copy of the bill. He said he would call me and never did. Left 2 messages for Zak and no return call. Had to call my bank today and file a dispute. So stupid for just $2 but it is just not good policy to change a debit charge. My advice is to check your credit or debit card after charging here. Update: Just heard from Duffy's. Said there was a miscommunication and I was left 2 messages (me thinks not) but anyway they acknowledged the mistake and put $15 on my MVP card. Will not go to that location again

The food is bad. The atmosphere is lame and has an odd smell. The drinks are super cheap.

Good place for afternoon football. However, not the best service. The bar also closes at midnight on Saturday night?!?! Found this out after sitting for at least 25 minutes. They could have told us right when we walked in.

Do NOT fall for the 2 For 1 drink scam! Yes, you will consume two beverages for the price of one; however, I watched the drinks being made, and there is LESS ALCOHOL IN TWO THAN most put into ONE DRINK.

  • Coco K.

Great places to watch sports - Sooo many TVs We went for lunch/football last Sunday & much to our surprise it was 2 for 1 beers specials! We went with tacos: Korean beef tenderloin - juicy and delicious Mahi Mahi - perfect fish taco Snapper - ehhhh not great or exciting Taco salad - good, fresh lettuce, good dressing and good ingredients Wings - spicy ,messy, tangy sauce. I'm not about that blue cheese dipping sauce though, bleh, give me some ranch! (personal preference) Service was superb even though the bar was packed. A+ will be back when I'm in town

Sat outside and twice we got the same waiter outside and twice the service was excruciating slow. I think I'll find another downtown hangout spot as I don't like to sit and wait for drinks.

It's duffys. You know exactly what you're gonna get before you go in. A lot of tvs, 2-4-1 drinks, average food for a reasonable price. People that rate it one star and complain about everything here clearly haven't been to a duffys before.

Soon after the previous review I did get contacted by corporate regarding this issue. I am happy to say that they did compensate us for the issue and was very generous and apologetic for the incident. Unfortunately my friend probably will not be returning to dine but may return for 2-for-1 to utilize his credit that he received. I have been back a couple of times and the service is been pretty good. There's one girl in particular that's always really nice when we go. My husband and I every time we see her always complement the fact that she is such a hard worker. She was there yesterday and was very very helpful. She is also very nice to let me know that I had a free dessert coming. So I will be back soon to receive my free dessert and possibly have a few drinks. Thank you for taking care of the issue at hand.

I stopped by late Friday night (or would it count as Saturday morning?) after my night of WPB touristing and have to say it was a gourmet sports bar! Located right on Clematis by where the Bike Taxi dropped my friend and I off, it was still "on and popping" around 1AM. While sitting and minimally waiting for our grub, we enjoyed the dinner theater of what looked to be a birthday or bachelor party, some dude cruising hia pimpedout 3 wheel motorcycle and what seemed to be the start of a bar fight outside..fun times :) Speaking of waiting, our waitress Kristen kept our soda refills coming on time, was friendly and went over the menu, especially the different sauce options on my Buffalo Chicken Burger. I chose the spicy orange sauce for my bigger-than-my-hand sized sandwich and have to say the spicy sauce wins a Dessert Snob award! The amount of fries that came with the burger was adequate, and Kristen remembered to bring me my BBQ sauce! Oh, and there are A LOT of TV's..winning!

Great place ... you don't necessarily have to go here to catch a game. We had a pretty big group (11 of us) and they were very accommodating. We tried quite a few appetizers and had all sorts of things off of the menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Great atmosphere and nice COLD beer!

I live in Fort Lauderdale and rarely make my way up to the Palm Beach area, but I was picking up somebody from the Palm Beach airport and their flight was coming in late, so we went cruising around a bit killing time. It turns out there actually is a Duffy's in Fort Lauderdale, but I never heard of it because it's in a part of town I pretty much never go to. Anyway, it seemed like a decent place to stop for a drink and maybe catch a game on TV, so we stepped in. We had already ate dinner at this point, so this is a drinks only review. I ordered the white Russian and it came quickly and tasted pretty good. As I was sort of getting near the end of my first drink, the bartender unexpectedly served me and my drinking buddy another round. Wondering what was up, we were informed of the 24-7/365 happy hour 2-for1 policy there. Great! Just got 2 drinks for the price of one, some free water and watched a bit of sports on the TV(s). The service was fairly quick and friendly enough from a pleasant looking young woman. This seems like a really good place to get drinks and maybe a bite to eat. Might be a while before I come back to any of their locations considering their relative remoteness to me, but if they add a location near me, it could definitely be a hangout.

I can't decide what's more awful, the food or the service. The waitress seemed almost ambivalent about where she even was. We asked for suggestions and everything we asked about she said, "I don't like it, and neither do most people, it's gross". Which I FULLY appreciate... except when I asked her, so what's good here... she said... NOTHING. So why did I eat here... So we ordered chips and salsa, and soups and salad... plus our meals. We were finished with our apps when we asked how much longer on our food. She never put our food in, she said she wanted us to get our appetizers. Our salads... and our chips and salsa.... when our meals were burgers...? We finally demanded our food and magically our burger came out with in 5 minutes... The food was terrible, I had no drink refills, and there was no one around to even complain to. I'm a server, and that was the first person I didn't tip.

Great location, WORST SERVICE. Consistent food. So I'm sitting at the bar enjoying a salad for lunch when the bartender decides to clean the bar with a stinky disinfectant cleaning spray. WTF, first of all why would the spray this stuff, and where is the common sense of the bartender for spraying it around customers eating.

I've been going to various Duffy's now for roundabout 14 years. I spent many a dinner in the old location on Alt. A1A when I was in middle school and I'm pretty fond of the chain. The food is consistent and consistently good. It's nothing special, about on par with Fridays, a little better, but you know it will always be good, and there's really something to be said for that. The thing that I really love about this particular Duffy's is location, location, location. No more do I have to wait to start my night out if there is a big game on, I'll just go to Duffy's. They have tons of seats and TONS of TVs. Oh and did I mention that its 2 for 1 happy hour at night and so its only about $4 for a huge 32 oz.(?) beer? I've only been to this particular Duffy's now twice, but bet that I'll be back.

I'm relatively new to the area and have visited the Duffy's in NMB and it was a great experience so I thought I would check this one out. I went to catch the Heat game and sat at the bar. It really wasn't that busy and it took about 5-10 before anyone even acknowledged my presence. Not to mention the fact that where I was sitting was right in front of the cooler where the bartenders were grabbing fresh cold mugs for the other customers. This one bartender in particular came to the cooler at least four times and didn't even greet me. No eye contact, smile, nothing. However she greeted all her "regulars' by name and promptly took their orders. I finally got my beer, finished it, and of course would expect someone to ask if I would like another. No chance. They passed right by me over and over again, looked at my empty glass, and kept going about their business. After about 10 minutes I asked for my check and left. I'm really not a hard person to please and most folks would have left alot sooner. Service was absolutely terrible and did not feel welcome at any point during my visit. I couldn't even tell you what the food was like because they didn't deserve my hard earned money. Will not be going there again. On a side note...there's just something not right about being served on square or rectangle plate at a sports bar. Just sayin'

So... went here and ended up witnessing near fist fights between a few tough guys and an old alcoholic at the bar, who was screaming at a woman ...holding a baby. The managers didn't seem to be doing much to resolve it and the cops came. Too bad, because the food was pretty good.

This is by far the best place on clematis. Best drink prices, awesome food and awesome staff.

This is what a sports grill should be. Tons of screens showing all the games, attentive service despite the hectic atmosphere, big glasses of beer, and a nice selection of better than average bar food. (I recommend the ribs.) To top it all off, it's a family/kid friendly place and I was able to eat lunch and watch football with my wife and daughter for three hours. This is my new spot for watching games when I'm in West Palm. You better believe I'll be back come tournament time in March.

    (4)
  • Mike D.

I have seriously never seen so many damn TVs in my life! This is definitely a good spot to catch a game. I went on a Thursday, and they were doing 2 for 1 drinks all night, which apparently, is pretty rare in these parts. The food was pretty average pub fare with some seafood twists. If your'e in town and looking for ANY sporting event, stop here first!

Downtown Clematis was long overdue for this. When I joined a girlfriend here the other night, the place was popping for the Heat game. We sat outside to enjoy the nice breeze while we consumed the appetizer sampler, which consisted of crab cakes, cheese sticks, and honey garlic boneless wings. Our waitress said it was one of the best things on the menu and she's right. It was fun to people watch and catch up on things while having the staff making sure we were comfortable with our visit. Our drinks were spiked just right and we enjoyed our turkey burgers. I really couldn't tell the difference between that and the real thing. I think it may be my new health addition. Happy hour is from 4 to close too. If I'm ever in the mood to hit up a sports pub downtown, this is where I'll be.

The services Sucks! The last two times our server seems to forget everything. I mean something as simple as ordering French fries or getting my nephew his orange juice. Today they forgot to get his OJ, Soup and I asked the hostess that it's my brothers birthday and if she can let the waiter know so at the end he can come out with the fried cheesecake. She never did. The waiter seems lost and every other word out of his mouth was cool and yea. And it was annoying that he came back every 2 mintures to apologize about forgetting the soup. You say it once and u move on. I have worked in the restaurant business for years and I know you can have your off days. But crying out loud you are in the business. I mean really, it wasn't at all busy so I would be afraid to see these people when it actually is.

Had the spinach dip and some wings. Very Good! 2 for 1 drinks- can't beat that... Uniform for servers was revealing. Not bad if the short shorts were only on the attractive ladies. Too short in some cases. Other then that I'm a fan!

I swung by for a quick bite to eat during lunch. Being that it had recently opened, I expected a large lunch crowd and was pleasantly surprised when we were sat almost immediately. There were a lot of hostesses, managers, waiters, runners, bussers all hustling around. The restaurant has wall to wall HD flat screens and the bar area has enormous screens directly behind the bar. There is framed sports memorabilia everywhere. I spotted a Pele autographed jersey which was pretty unique. I definitely was digging the ambiance. I ordered the lunch special for 6.99 and got the Ahi Tuna Melt with a side Caesar salad. The sandwich was mildly spicy due to the wasabi mayo on it. It tasted fresh and while it was only half a sandwich it did the trick. The side salad was pretty good too. It was the first or second day the restaurant had opened and the AC was on the fritz. It wasn't hot but it was a little toasty inside the dining room. A manager came by to check on us and our server was very friendly. This is definitely the spot to catch a game and have some good food over a cold beer on Clematis.

Hands down, the best wings in Palm Beach County and for some reason this Duffy's lcoation turns out better food than the others. I mean greaaat wings! Tons of jumbo screen tv's to catch all your fav sports games.

We tried out the new Duffy's on Clematis street. We had dinner on Wednesday. We liked that everynight is happy hour, the staff was friendly but a little slow (we were outside so they had a longer walk) and they flubbed my drink order (vodka tonic with lime, not difficult). I had the Tuna burger and it was pretty good, sweet potato fries were yummy. My big complaint was the AC, we were sitting outside and we were still cold because the AC must be set at 50 degrees. It was freezing, no way I would have enjoyed my experience sitting inside, even my husband commented that inside was way too cold. I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars.

For a sports bar the food as really pretty good and the menu is varied. Ordinarily I'd never order a salad in a sports bar but my greens have always been fresh and crisp here. It's the best place around to take in teh fights and their two for one drinks are generous and way cheap.
